Blue Man Group Boston Theatre reviews
Long awaited but seriously disappointing
When your own children ask "when is it (the show) going to be over" that's an indicator that at least some or many parts throughout "the shows" performance lacked appealed and sustainability. Sure, each member was talented, athletic and amazing percussionist. But Boston's show was disappointing. No cohesiveness, music was (great), but too loud for the venue size. Many acting parts were cheesy and appeared last minute ideas. The audience should be more engaged.
I loved the incorporation of technology into their routines. However, I was embarrassed for all the teenager/patrons who paid for overpriced seating and tickets to wear plastic an not get paint, tissued or wet. Maybe in other performances throughout the week that occurred but not at this show. Disappointing!
I'd suggest BMG continue their stellar musically but balance it with more repertoire. Same beat throughout is boring. Needs more interactive entertainment. Update, update, update. Keep it rolling and lose the many moments of snooze. Sorry
